Begoña Sanmiguel- READING COMPREHENSION

After being looking for my part of the group work, which It was "reading and comprehension" I have reached some conclusion about this proyect.first in order to get all this web sites I had to go a portal and that it was www.google.com in which I wrote the word reading and comprehension and automatically It sent my to a web in which there are around pages in which the words reading and comprehension appeared.

After reading some of the websites and open some of them I decided to try to have a different examples of reading and comprehension. I tried to find the websites which would give a different ways to teach to the students and also with different ways to do it.

Some websites are focused more on reading some on comprehension, some in both reading and comprehension. Also, different ways to test your knowledge and the most important thing, different exercises to do in order to improve your skills.

Some of this websites contain quizzes in which you have multiple choices. Others contain text in which you have to answer some questions. Another websites in order to improve the reading skill have books to read or test you how fast you can read. Some of this webs are focused on the four language skills. And some of them are made for children.

What I have found is that the younger people the website is destiny the funnier the page is presented. For example: with lot of different colours , funny icons, more colloquial and easy vocabulary in order to understand.

Rebeca Pérez – ENGLISH DICTIONARIES

The work we did in group was to make a web with different links according to the subject we were concerned about, that is teaching English as a second language through computers.


We divided the work in different separated parts. So each one of us made our own work.
As far as I am concerned I did the work about dictionaries.


My part consisted in looking for information in the net about dictionaries of English. I searched different webs where English dictionaries appear to help the learner of English through computers.


Once I finished this I wrote in Microsoft word the five addresses I found in Internet with a little explanation below about each of them. I copied this in a diskette.


Later I gave it to a member of the group, She gathered all the information and then coping and pasting and working with Hotmetal programme we made our web page that is what our work consisted on. This is the end of my work.

Marta Martin Vicente

My part in this group work was gathering all the information from my group partenrs and paste it using HoTMetaL PRO program.

My companions gave me the information in diskettes and what I did with all that information was to copy and paste. In order to insert a hypertext link, one in which the user clicks on some text or an image and the browser responds by displaying another document, I clicked on the toolbar button "Insert link" represented by an image of the world and a chain.

In order to change the background colour I clicked in the menu file and then Page Properties.

In order to insert the Crossword Game, I searched trhough www.google.com for a web page where I could find java applets. I selected one from http://javaboutique.internet.com/ and then in the HotMetal program I clicked in the menu Insert, Java Applet.
